“We are very excited about the opportunities created by bringing both companies together” said Malcolm Thomson, Radiation Test Solutions, President. “We have worked with Dr. Richard Sharp, CEO of Radtest, since 2013. Radtest, along with their radiation testing expertise, developed the SEREEL2 laser system in 2018. The system will help to alleviate an industry bottleneck at many traditional SEE testing facilities. With the growth of the commercial space industry over the last several years, this is a perfect time for our two companies to merge and better serve our customers, globally.”
Dr. Richard Sharp states, “We have a strong working relationship with RTS. To combine the two companies into one organization will help better serve the needs of our customers in the UK, Europe and Asia. RTS has a world-class facility, subject matter experts and very experienced staff that we can draw upon to aid in supporting our customers’ needs. We look forward to this new chapter in working with RTS and being able to expand our capabilities here in Harwell.”
RTS has a long history of providing radiation testing and analysis services to the aerospace industry. Some may recognize the company under former names and ownership, such as Radiation Assured Devices, Aeroflex RAD and Cobham RAD. In 2020, RTS purchased Cobham RAD thereby securing additional services and critical equipment to support the growing customer base.
